PPD Study

  • Pregnant and postpartum women
  • Ages 20-45
  • Not using birth control or antidepressants
  • Non-smokers

Four overnight hospital stays required. Reimbursement from $50.00 to $565.00.

Light & Sleep Study

  • Women ages 20-75
  • Non-smokers
  • Not using birth control, hormone replacement therapy or certain prescription drugs

UCSD Department of Psychiatry is conducting a clinical research study evaluating non-medication Light & Sleep Therapies for Premenstrual Syndrome & Menopausal Depression. Both women experiencing depression and non-depressed women are needed. Overnight hospital stays required. Reimbursement up to $550.00

Menopause Study

  • Women ages 50-75
  • Non-smokers
  • Not using antidepressants, hormones or certain prescription medications

Are you experiencing hot flashes, headaches, emotional changes and/or poor sleep? The UCSD Department of Psychiatry is conducting a five-month research study on the effects of hormone replacement and/or antidepressants on menopausal symptoms. six overnight hospital stays are required. Possible reimbursement for participation up to $590.00
