Work Injury Treatment and Management | UC San Diego Health System

Work Injury Treatment & Management

The UCSD Center for Occupational & Environmental Medicine is committed to working with employers to help manage their workers’ compensation costs. Injured workers are treated promptly, and early return-to-work programs are strongly supported. Timely communication with the employer, workers’ compensation carrier, third party administrator or utilization review facilitates overall management of the claim and reduces claim costs.

  • Evaluation & treatment of work injuries by Board Certified physicians. Prompt treatment. Return to work programs strongly supported.
  • Same Day Appointments Available
A Treatment Authorization form can be completed and faxed to the clinic prior to the injured worker’s arrival. Fax: (619) 471-9211.
  • Communication
Following each visit, the employer will receive a faxed notification of the employee’s work status. The medical provider is also available to discuss issues pertinent to the case.
