Mr. Wiesley, UC San Diego International Ambassador for Mexico, was born and raised in Mexico City (US expat parents). Mr. Wiesley began his professional career with Benton & Bowles, a large advertising agency in New York. He then went on to international banking and real estate in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Wiesley is a seasoned Mexico expert in the insurance, financial, and real estate industries. He, together with several partners, was responsible for creating and registering the first title insurance policies with the Mexican government in 1994 which led to his being transferred to Mexico City and appointed Director General of Mexico for a major US title insurer. Among his responsibilities were the creation of a wholly owned Mexican insurance company through the Mexican treasury department and the development of a new market for title insurance in Mexico. He was successful in both endeavors as was named by the Wall Street Journal a title insurance pioneer in Mexico. He is bi-lingual and bi-cultural with the ability to operate seamlessly in the US and throughout Mexico with an extensive contact base in the business and governmental sectors.

After receiving her law degree from la Pontifica Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia and her MBA from the Escuela Europea de Negocios in Madrid, Spain Camila worked as the International Business Coordinator for Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida as well as the International Business Ambassador for Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. Her work with well renowned health care institutions in the United States along with efforts as a lawyer in Colombia have helped Camila to develop some strong ties with both health care institutions as well as pharmaceutical companies throughout South America. In addition, Camila has worked as the legal counsel for various companies such as Grupo Saludcorp, Fidupetrol S.A. Grupo Construcorp and Progressa Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito in Colombia. Camilia’s expertise lies in her ability to serve as an advisor on business processes and project management, with special strengths in internationalization of services of health institutions.

Dr. Del Carpio is presently serving as the medical director for UBAP Medical Center in Lima, Peru. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Medicine as well as his medical degree from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM). Dr. Del Carpio also received his board certification from the National Register of Specialists (specializing in general surgery) from the College of Medicine in Peru. Some of Dr. Del Carpio’s noteworthy achievements include the following: Acting chief of the Emergency Room and Acting Chief of the Shock-Trauma Department at the National Police Hospital in Lima. Dr. Del Carpio also received certificates Peruvian Association of Internal Medicine, the Peruvian Cardiology Association as well as the Peruvian Association of Plastic Surgery for the successful completion of various coursework. Furthermore, Dr. Del Carpio has received a special commendation from the President of the National Congress for his work with the indigent population in the rural areas of Peru and has served as an advisor to the Minister of the Interior regarding Health Care issues. Dr. Del Carpio retired from the National Police Force with the rank of Colonel after 30 years of service. Dr. Del Carpio speaks English, Spanish and German.
