Community Affairs

The Government and Community Affairs team guides community relations and outreach efforts for UC San Diego Health System by:

• Increasing awareness of our position and commitment to the community and our partners
• Supporting a variety of activities and partner organizations throughout San Diego County
• Increasing access to services
• Maintaining and promoting existing partnerships, while cultivating new relationships
• Proactively working with the community to identify opportunities for grant collaboration
• Develop short, medium and long term regional strategies
• Act as a community sounding board
• Enlisting the community into outreach efforts and community based participatory research projects
• Promoting diversity in the healthcare workforce
• Educating residents about health issues
