SOCARE Fees and Eligibility

The cost of a SOCARE evaluation varies but can usually be estimated at the first visit. Actual fees depend on the extent of the examination, the amount of time involved, complexity of problems and specific services provided (X-rays, lab tests, etc.)

SOCARE participates in Medicare, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, and other private insurance programs. Reimbursement from these various insurance programs depends on the number of examinations, tests and studies required.

If you are currently enrolled in a senior HMO plan, contact your primary care physician to see if a referral can be made to the SOCARE program.

Anyone age 65 or older who is experiencing memory problems  is eligible for SOCARE. Seniors may call for themselves or be referred by their physicians, other health care professionals, community health agencies or family members.
