In decades past, cystic fibrosis (CF) was considered a pediatric disease. With the advance of new technologies and medical therapies, the adult population is now larger than the pediatric one. Patients are living longer, healthier, more productive lives than ever before.
As a result of the investigative and clinical success of CF care, the proper care of our aging population is a moving target. Physicians are learning more and more about how to tailor our expanding arsenal of effective therapies to enhance the length, as well as the quality of our patients' lives.
